About Me

Hi! My name is Nathalie! I’m a Christian, a mom, a wife, and a sometimes book reviewer. Okay, okay, an often book reviewer when I’m actively reading. . .  Which I’ve been doing a lot of lately. I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself.

I’m an Army Brat, and kind of grew up everywhere. I was born in Germany and moved back and forth an awful lot. Books kind of became my best friends in those years, as they were a consistent avenue of entertainment to turn to when there was nothing else. And in the days before iPads and iPhones — in fact those were the days before cell phones became commonplace — any entertainment I could transport with me was important.

I settled in North Carolina in 1998, and have been here ever since. Which blows my mind, because that means I’ve been here for nearly 17 years!

As far as books go, I love anything that’s good and entertaining. I will admit to rarely reading nonfiction — although I do have a love for “self help” books, or books that focus on psychology and people — and that means when I do pick up a non-fiction book it must be phenomenal to catch and keep my attention. I tend to go through phases, and have gone through the vampire phase (before Twilight ever existed), my mystery phase (which never really goes away if another mystery pops up that’s really gripping), and I suppose I could be said to currently be in my thriller phase. . . maybe? I’ve discovered Tess Gerritsen, and have enjoyed some of the bestsellers that have been labeled as thrillers lately, like Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train.

I do take what I write in a book review seriously, and try to be as honest as possible. I haven’t met very many books I didn’t like, but there have been some, and I try to be honest in how I feel about them.

If you want to find out more about my Philosophy on Book Reviewing, you can check that out on the page labeled with the same name.

I hope you enjoy my reviews and share them if you like them!
